Bit of a late post, but I’ve been waiting for everyone’s photos to be uploaded. Last weekend we went away on POKE‘s annual piss up in the countryside, we ended up in Plas Glansevin Georgian Mansion near llangadog in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. We had a very pleasant time, consumed spectacular amounts of alcohol, climbed Pen y Fan the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons and most dangerous in Wales! Anyhow, here’s a selection of photos:

For further amusement, check out Farnhill‘s, Tom’s, Mark’s (probably the most comprehensive) and Igor’s flickr sets. Finally don’t miss the infamous Gor Dance, note this was film at about 7.30pm on the first evening!

Frankly, this is really tweaking my Balzac

Last night I went to ‘Melange‘ (which means ‘Mix’ in French apparently) on the end of my road, it’s a very nice bar that has no concept of licensing hours, but unfortunately no draft lager. We went there to see some bloke out the Guillemots play some improvisational music with his chums. It was quite good (too much whale noises though) anyhow it inspired us to do some improvised/take turns type drawings. We were quite pissed by the time we started, below are our efforts:

Not an original idea, I did the same for an ecard about 10 years ago. But this random face generator is very well executed.
Monoface screenshotBuilt by a company called mono, not particularly thrilled by their client work though.

I really like Red Interactive’s new site, takes me back to the good old days of web design when we hadn’t learnt to control ourselves and everything was over the top, self indulgent and fun. Takes a lot of balls to build your site around a bonkers chat room engine these days, but I’m all for it!
