Ah great, Rex’s animated series Grip Wrench is now online! All 10 episodes are on there, featuring Hollywood hardman, Vietnam veteran and fearless patriot – Grip Wrench.

This is Rex’s favourite episode ‘Keep Safe with Grip Wrench’ is embeded above, I’m a big fan on Conad the Barbarian, sounds like gonad, probably one of my favourite testical gags to date :)

Also Rex has posted a few pictures of Julie’s white sofa that she bravely let us all attack with sharpie markers during her house warming party. I think it maybe needs another round to completey fill in all the white space…

studio aka

Just been looking through studio aka’s extensive portfolio of animation. Love pretty much everthing apart from the Lloyds TSB stuff with the weird noses…

But my favourite of all is the distinctly lo-fi recycling film for Disney (doesn’t look like there’s any deep linking on their site, look for it in the overview or idents section). It’s a mixture of puppeteered live action and stop motion, all kids stuff should be like this, just gives you that warm fuzzy feeling watching it.

Also the preview of the Lost & Found short film looks awesome too.

Art Brut(e) – Jessie Peterson

Ifound Art Brut(e) this morning after Jessie linked up my Christmas cheat sheets, 2 hours later I’ve just finnished digging through her archives… Anyhow, chock full of good stuff, I’ve cherry picked some of my favs here: Nicky had shown me Life magazines photo archive on google before, but I hadn’t seen these shots of musicians from the 70’s in their parents homes before, brilliant! Abelha Cachaça

There’s nothing better than a free drink and on Saturday I had plenty :) Courtesy of my friends Ant & Hal, who are launching a new brand of Cachaça in the UK – Abelha. For those who don’t know, Cachaça is a sugar cane based spirit (a little bit like rum, but not rum) from Brasil. It’s the main ingredient of the world famous Caipirinha cocktail. I’m so jealous, wish I had my own brand of booze.

It was a fancy dress do and we took the Brazilian theme to it’s logical conclusion by going in pubeless naked suits… Check out the photos of the event here »

Rex’s Reel of Show

Rex has just put his winter 2008 reel on his blog, including some of his work on LittleBigPlanet, his new animation series for MTV – Grip Wrench and some stuff he did at Poke for Orange. Awe inspiring stuff, I’m massively jealous of his skills.

Totoro Forest Project

Totoro is one of my favourite animated films, and a lot of other peoples too by the hundreds to amazing art works produced for the Totoro Forest Project. All the work has now been auctioned off the raise money for the National Trust Totoro Forest Foundation, but you can see all the Totoro inspired work in the online gallery.

Pop-Up book music video

Huge cock shaped skyscraper development in Shoreditch! Dave spotted this piss take fly poster outside our office this morning. As Dave points out:
