There’s an interesting mixture of nicely designed posters, infographics and t-shirts over in Olly Moss’s portfolio.

There’s a lot of guff to get through in the Song Chart Flickr pool, but within there are some real gems. (I thought the best ones were towards the end).
Cheers for the link Nicky.
Jonathan Harris & Sep Kamvar have been scraping the internet again for stuff you’ve posted. This time round they’ve been mining online dating sites to analyse peoples search for love and self. Looks great from the screenshots, shame there’s not a web version, only a working installation in the Museum of Modern Art.
Thankfully we didn’t have to endure these at school in the UK, but here’s a hilarious collections of odd science fair stands. Cheers for the link Kester.
I‘ve just recieved all the maps we need for our imminent hike along the Continental Divide, created by Jonathan Ley, they are better than I expected. Each map (and there’s hundreds of them) has the route and variations drawn on, and is full of notes about the route, places to get water, hot springs and all sorts. This one above just caught my eye though:
Quicksand somewhere on this map, I won’t say where exactly, because that kind of thing is a lot more exciting to dicover by accident. Ahhhh! Quicksand!!!
Can’t wait, I always wondered what it would be like to be stuck in quicksand :) Cheers for the maps Jonathan, they’re amazing!
International King & Queen of Sports is the perfect way to break the ice, entertain and woo the girl/guy of your dreams! Well it’s a bit of fun anyhow… I made it for a valentines a few years ago and thought it was about time I dusted it off and gave it a second outing. Basically it’s a competitive drinking / pubcrawl type game designed for 2 people.
What you get:
Download the free King & Queen of Sports Illustrator files here. Feel free to use it in anyway you see fit. For those of you who don’t have Illustrator, you can download a set of pdf’s of the scorecards and numbers here.
There’s 17 mini games to play (you don’t have to complete them all) here’s a basic description of them in order:
You should also have with you a bottle of Champagne, so at the end of the night when the scores are added up, the winner can spray it all over the loser, grand-prix style.
These pixel car icons by TurboMilk are friking awesome. Shame that the site they’re used on doesn’t do them justice.
Cheers for the link Dom.
This is some of the saddest news I’ve heard for sometime :( Apparently the price of a pint is set to rise by up to 60%. All due to poor weather and the price of hops going up…
Lokesh Dhakar has produced this lovely infographic of common coffee drinks. He’s even providing the source files for you to download, what a nice guy!

Some interesting pie charts of the proportional usage of colour on flags. Above is the colours of all flags combined.
