Illustration of the Poke band Crank! The weeping all seeing eyes are a nod to the origin of the bands name - it came from Kester who would joke that he spends most of his spare time wanking while crying in his shed. We shortened it to Cranking and found it hilarious, the band shortened it further to Crank!

Hopefully they’ll be t-shirts and alsorts to follow soon.

These are a some Poke characters I made for a series of limited edition visitor stickers, which guest of Poke have to wear in our building. They haven’t been made yet, but hopefully soon! You can see some more work from this project here.

These are a few of the header concepts I drew up for the soon to released The Feed blog from Orange (not sure if any of them will get used). The blogs content is going to be reasonably technology focused hence the circuit board and twisted wires concepts. I think I preferred the little birdies munching though.

This is a fictitious wine label I designed for a cardboard fancy dress box of wine outfit. The finished outfit, even dispensed wine, see some pics here! I also made it into a desktop which you can get here.

Eleanor, my friend, ex flatmate and owner of Roome Consulting asked me to paint some paintings to decorate her new office. I’m a bit slow at painting, so I roped my girlfriend Nicky to give me a hand painting them :) They loved them, some of the characters even made on to their website which I also designed.

This is a cityscape I drew for an Orange ad. I think it’s New York? Not sure, I based it on a photo I found on Flickr, but lost where I found the reference photo… I made this into a desktop, you can get it here.

I‘ve done literally hundreds of Alexisms over the years, see the ones I’ve posted on my blog. Basically Kester makes notes of random things that Alex says, emails them round work and I do little graphics for them… a lot if it is in jokes, but I think they’re pretty funny!

Penguin had an exhibition of handmade book covers of their My Penguin (blank book cover) range. They asked 130 folk to participate and I was one of them, above is the Cover I’ve did of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

For the V&A Village Fete 2007 I painted this burp booth for Poke’s stall. We were trying to record in burp form I’d like to teach the world to burp… didn’t quite get all the words, but had a great time, Check out the final video here.

This is an illustration for the family fun Savitri organise in Hyde Park each year. This year the theme was Superheros. You can see me crossing the finishing line dressed as a super hero here!

Ihad plans to start illustrating various national stereotypes, so far I’ve only got as far as No.1 the French… Someday I’ll get more done! The quote is from the French soldier defending his castle in Monty Phyon’s Holy Grail.

Ah spring is in the air, and the woodpeckers are out - are they? Not sure if I’ve ever seen a woodpecker, but that was the concept I art worked up in this free SIM give away type ad for Orange. I suppose I should really show the finished flash ads, but I don’t really get involved in the ad production so don’t have any of the files.

Idon’t know really why I’m showing this, the ad never got made, think it’s just because I liked the little Leprecorn character! I think quite often some of my favourite work is the stuff that never gets built… suppose it’s the stuff that the project managers & clients haven’t had chance to ruin yet ;P

These are a series of spoof newspaper cartoon strips. I made them to promote the ITV show Benedorm. I also made them into a series of online ads which the client said had the highest click through rate they’d ever seen.

This is an illustration I did for a book based around the theme ‘if you could do anything tomorrow, what would it be?’ My choice of subject matter was fairly obvious, but one that’s close to my heart! You can buy the book here. Also you can download the desktop of it.
