ABC Button
This is such a good idea – a 9 hole button! You sew them on them on to spell out different letters, pitty the actual buttons look a bit shite. 9 Euros for 2 from Charles & Marie.

I bought some buttons and bits and bobs from MacCulloch & Wallis online store last night. I must say out of all the other online haberdashery type stores I’ve visited online, this is head and shoulders above the rest. Large variety of interesting stock, easy to navigate and use. Only shame was that they slapped on £8 for postage at the last minute, which seems a tad expensive for delivering a bunch of buttons to the other side of London.
They’ve been around since 1902, their store is Mayfair, sounds quite interesting, will have to pay it a visit next time I’m in town.

A few weeks ago Ant asked if Me & Nicky would customise some Oh Baby baby clothes in any way we saw fit (to use in their shop window), of course we jumped at the chance! We ending up making them into baby clothes monsters, above is my Victorian punk rocker and below is Nicky’s Convict muppet. Not sure if it’ll be what they were after… but we like them!
Oh Baby have a shop just down the road on Brick Lane and an online store here, if you have a Kid you should check them out, they have some really cute stuff.

It was Knotty & Kate’s wedding a couple of weeks back, me and Nicky have been a bit slow at getting the wedding present finished though… But at last it was handed over today, and here it is – a couple of draft excluders! It makes a bit more sense when you see the invite I designed for them below, Knott’s their surname, tying the Knot, I kind of think it’s sweet.
Super cute Mr. Men-esque illustrations by Merijn Hos over at BFREEONE. Loving the characters boots and especially the huge 3d plush versions.

Made this little fella a while back, just got round to photographing him. I bought a big bag of little anchor buttons (as seen on his arm) on ebay, loving them, they’re like little sailor tattoos!
I’m quite into suit fabric at the moment for making things, it’s not that cheap, but has a lovely feel – next one is going to be tweed.

It’s been a while since I’ve been in possession of a sewing machine, but at last I commandeered my mothers last weekend! First little dude off the production line was this chap above which I’m to calling Calvin Cat. I was showing Nicky how I make make my sock monsters at the time and she then went and totally out did me by crafting this fantastic little fella below, which I’ve nicknamed Ivor the Indestructable.
More on the knitted pants theme… these sock monkey cranky pants for kids are super cute. Available to buy from the cranky pants shop.
These knitted pants by memake are amazing! Sadly not available to buy on her etsy shop.
Plushie is an interactive design system for plush toys built my Yuki Mori, a Ph.D student from Japan. You sketch in 2D, it transforms it into 3D, adjust the seams and stuffing, then it works out the panel shapes for you to print out and make – looks pretty good!
Rubykhan has cross stitched some of Craig Robinson / Flip Flop Flyin Mini Pops characters, love it.

It’s been a hot weekend, my latest cock monkey is soaking up the rays.

I made these for a girl who I’m currently fascinated by. The one below (which I thought was best) is winging it’s way over to her as I type, hope it doesn’t freak her out… pretty much sums up my feelings right now though ;) Thinking about sending the other to Coudal’s Swap Meat.
