Monoface
Not an original idea, I did the same for an ecard about 10 years ago. But this random face generator is very well executed.
Built by a company called mono, not particularly thrilled by their client work though.
Red Interactive Agency
I really like Red Interactive’s new site, takes me back to the good old days of web design when we hadn’t learnt to control ourselves and everything was over the top, self indulgent and fun. Takes a lot of balls to build your site around a bonkers chat room engine these days, but I’m all for it!

Op Art
I’ve been doing a bit of research into Op Art today. Here’s some links to the stuff I really liked:
A huge amount of work from Jean Waldheim’s here.
Some of Bridget Riley’s 60’s & 70’s stuff here.
Lots of Richard Allen’s work here.
Comprehensive collection of Julian Stanczak’s work here.

Unusual Wiki Articles
Here’s a list of unusual wiki articles, some fascinating stuff.
British Utopian Experiments 1325 – 1945
Can there ever have been a land where so many people at so many times have tried to create their ideal community? This book looks quite fascinating, tales of utopian communities all over the country. For example the story of St Kilda the island republic, also the remotest inhabited place in the British Isles. Buy the book here.
My name is Jimmy
Just been reminded that it’s mother’s day on Sunday… Sadly Lucy is going to have to go without a birthday present tonight because this little fella has just been posted back to Yorkshire!
