This might look like I’m having a great time relaxing in this hot spring, but I’m actually trying the find where the hole is in Paul’s Therma-a-rest. It’s non stop hard work this CDT ;) You’ll be happy to know the puncture was found and repaired!

Gila Cliff Dwellings are some fairly impressive caves that the local Indians used to live in.

Really stunning high sided and narrow canyon walking, still lots of river crossings though…

It’s actually bloody cold in New Mexico when the weather turns bad :( We built a huge fire when we got to camp and soon warmed up though :)

We spent most of this morning hiking up the wrong creek in the wrong direction… But if we hadn’t we wouldn’t of bumped into this guy. Andre owns N Bar Ranch which we were cutting across the get back on the CDT after our little detour. Turns out he had a truck full of beer and food he didn’t need, well it would be a shame to let it go to waste wouldn’t it?

The last couple of days of took it out of her and when she heard the rancher was going to town she decided to bail. Now sadly we’ve got no easy excuse for taking it easy and will have to pick up the pace to get back on schedule!

Yeah it was working, but we don’t carry any heavy change on us so couldn’t make a call… Sorry Nicky!
