Just been reminded that it’s mother’s day on Sunday… Sadly Lucy is going to have to go without a birthday present tonight because this little fella has just been posted back to Yorkshire!

Finally after a long break I’m back on the sewing machine again. This little fella was first off the production line, say hello to Earl.

I’ve had a couple of days off work using up left over holiday, so I’ve put it to use making a load of new soft toys to give folk at Christmas. Here’s some of the fellas I’ve made so far. Possibly worthy of note, this batch are all made from one sock each, rather than using 2 like the previous ones. And using the heel as the mouth, rather than the butt. Inspiration for this was from browsing through Sarah Bourque’s Sock Monster Flickr set.

This is the first thing I’ve made not using socks (other than a pair of pants for Bob Nob) Thought I’d start with something easy, hence the drafy excluder snake…
