Interesting redesign of Shaun Inman’s site. Each element on the site gets a unique color stamp based on the creation date, over time the colours fade so that a 75 year post would’ve completely faded away. Interesting concept, but from an illustrators point of view, there’s just too much text and not enough pictures on the site.

Painting of me and the Dude
Here’s a painting of me and the Dude I’ve just finnished. We’re going to split it as it’s painted in 2 halves – Dude wants the feet, I’m going to have the legs. Inadvertently the colour scheme was the same as this blog, so I thought I should post a pic here.
Still getting the hang of paints and brushes, I’m more of a pencil and felt tip man.
The Dude’s got her own blog!
She hasn’t got much there yet – I’m a bit worried about her loading pictures of me in the buff…. Sweet URL though, check it out at www.d-u-d-e.com
T-Shirts
I have a bit of a t-shirt fetish, trying to cut back on it, but over the years I’ve bought hundreds… A lot of people ask me where I get the from, well here are some of the places (in no particular order):
- Busted Tees, very funny t-shirts indeed – nobody likes a vegetarian is my favourite, oh and I beer beer.
- Glarkware, the site looks a bit sedate, but the tees are really good. My favourite is ‘sorry.‘ I’ve had a lot of people comment on it while wearing.
- 2k by Gingham, more shit hot shirts than you can shake a stick at (top tip: Their postage to UK is a bit pricey, amazon stock alot of their tees and postage is much more agreeable)
- Imperfectionist, I like their Wallpaper Squared range.
- Barking irons Kind of Victorian/Cowboy, Expensive but nice (get tees a size larger than you normally would).
- dadawan, French store, lots of interesting designs, guy who runs it is really helpful.
- Johnnny Cupcakes, classic t-shirt fare here. I especially like the new limited edition monster series illustrated by Thom Glick.
- The Drama Store, UK based outfit, you can get a load of mags, zines, toys, books etc here, but the t-shirt they sell are sweet. I especially like the ones from the Delphi Collective
- Threadless, if you haven’t heard of these guys yet, where have you been…
- Split the Atom, it’s a bit like Threadless.
- Howies is sweet.
- Rockwell, love these tees, if I wasn’t being careful could spend alot of money on this site… designed by Parra, I’m liking his work.
- Gew-Gaw Finery, some random vintage shit
- Palmer Cash, more vintage tees here, some pretty funny ones too.
- Vintage Vantage, for all your vintage t-shirt needs.
- Imaginary Foundation, right up my street these are – If Terry Gilliam during his Monty Phyon days had turned his hand to t-shirts, they would’ve been pretty much like this.
- Young Lovers Never Die, Aussie outfit, Indie tees
- The Cotton Factory, allsorts of good stuff
- Bennyhilfiger, not forgetting Roopes tess.
T-Shirt Blogs:
Torso, great set of links here
Preshrunk, lot of good finds here.
Cool Hunting has a good t-shirt section
Fancy Dan has a good t-shirt listing
T-Shirt Casserole, tees they’re in to are not really my cup of tea
Adam Neate
Adam Neate is an amazing bloke, never met a guy before who has such a huge creative outpouring. He leaves most of his stuff lying around the streets of East London for folk to pick up (an example of a found piece), a gallery of such work can be found here: www.adamneate.co.uk.
» Also if you’re not local to London, some of his work can be purchases over at beautiful crime.
» Here’s a little video of his work.
» And you can even his art on your phone!
Cock-a-doodle
Sometimes you get to do a site that you were born for, this was one of those occassions! Collegues at work got a bit worried about me for a while as they came past my desk to find me buried beneath piles of cock drawings… But it was a lot of fun, so you should check it out: Cock-a-doodle has been up and running now for over 6 months and has already got thousands of hand drawn cock in the doodle bank, but there’s plenty of room for more. Knotty has just updated the code, so it’s now running much smoother than ever. Remember it’s for a good cause – to safe guard your balls – so after you’ve doodled your dongs, head over to our everyman sponsorship page to make a small donation.
Download your own International King & Queen of Sports score card!
Almost a year ago I invited my soon to be girlfriend ‘the Dude‘ out on a date. Not wanting to do the usual dinner date type thing I came up with an international Kings & Queens of Sport competition to entertain and woo her! Well it did the job – we didn’t spend a night apart for weeks after that fatefull evening! Now you too can play it for sexual conquest, or just for fun.
What you get:
- An editable Illustrator file of both the King & Queen score cards
- 2 chest numbers to print out and attach while competing
- Full instructions & rules and regulations of how to play
For those of you who don’t have Illustrator, you can download a set of pdf’s of the scorecards and numbers here.
