Michael Jackson’s Auction
Wacko Jacko is flogging a load of his stuff, it’s pretty old news but still in time for the auction, set to take place in Beverly Hills in April 2009.
It’s interesting to see what someone like Michael Jackson has collected over the years, The Guardian have got some pictures of a small fragment of the 2000 lots. There’s the expected weirdness like the oil painting of him dressed up like a king, the way over the top stuff like his enormous Gaggia coffee machine. Interesting collectibles like the the prop ‘scissorhand’ gloves from Edward Scissorhands, also some nice normal stuff that I’d quite like to buy like that amazing red fire engine kettle.
The guide prices seem well lower than I imagined – Micheal Jackson’s red velvet cape for only $300-$500? I think not, surely this stuff will go for 10-20 times the asking price.
The Mighty Deerstalker
In a month’s time (21st March) it’s another of those eccentric and uniquely British events, The Mighty Deerstalker, held just south of Edinburgh, in and around the town of Innerleithen.
It’s an “adventure run” with a difference, all the racers are dressed up in tweed :) The Deerstalker is Fun Run meets Fell Race meets Hellrunner meets Tough Guy. You can expect water jumps, log balance bars, prickly tunnels and cargo nets over the 2 distance options of: 5 km (ish) and 10 km (and a bit).
I don’t think I’ll be able to make it up to Scotland for the 2009 event, but maybe next year, looks great :)

Tough Guy Challenge
Ican’t beleave this competition has being going on for 24 years and this is the first I’ve heard of it, well no longer – each year a South Perton Farm near Wolverhampton hosts the Tough Guy Challenge and next year I think I’ll go take a look (missed this year, was on the 1st of Feb).
What is it? Well in a nutshell it’s the most demanding one day assault course in the world, they reckon it’s closest rival is the The US Navy S.E.A.L.S. ‘Grinder’ Assault Course. Entry is open to the public to test their physical and metal prowess whilst earning a bit of money for charity.

This year saw 6,000 competitors take on the challenge, overall winner was James Appleton who was overtaking just before the finish by Vito Graffagnino, but Vito was later disqualified for cheating. There was 1 broken neck, a dozen broken or dislocated bones and 600 people struck down with hypothermia!

Getting a leg up in Porn

The short “Getting a leg up in Porn”, was second-place winner at last year’s HUMP festival, Seattle’s best (and only) amateur porn contest. I’ve not been able to find any info on who made it though…

WFT? I can’t remember where on the web I found this image, just discovered it again on my desktop while having a spring clean. Does anybody else just leave their deskop until the there’s no space for new files and they just pile up on top of each over the hard disk icon, or is that just me?

Huge Hog Balls
Ialmost fell off my chair with laughter when I saw this photo, also pretty funny are dog lips and this plushie proportioned cat. It’s from a site aptly called – don’t click this.what in gods.name. To be honest I wouldn’t recommend clicking the link, it’s seriously dark shit and totally not safe for work, as they rightly state – USE EXTREME CAUTION when opening images. Whatever you try, it is not possible to un-see something.
