Abelha Cachaça
There’s nothing better than a free drink and on Saturday I had plenty :) Courtesy of my friends Ant & Hal, who are launching a new brand of Cachaça in the UK – Abelha. For those who don’t know, Cachaça is a sugar cane based spirit (a little bit like rum, but not rum) from Brasil. It’s the main ingredient of the world famous Caipirinha cocktail. I’m so jealous, wish I had my own brand of booze.
It was a fancy dress do and we took the Brazilian theme to it’s logical conclusion by going in pubeless naked suits… Check out the photos of the event here »

you should deffo create your own booze brand. why don’t you brew some interesting flavours of ale at home, in small runs, e.g. 50 bottles.
then hand illustrate the label, making each artowrk limited to those fifty only. You could even etch the glass bottles with something cool. stock it in the OAP and bob’s your uncle.

OH that’s great! I believe on of the greatest caipirinha makers of all time is my mother. sucks that she doesn’t let me drink a lot. *booorrinnngg*. But did you know that know all cachaças have to me made in Brazil or else they are not Cachaças anymore. Just like Champaign.
