We were advised by the forest ranger in Pagosa to avoid Knife Edge Ridge. So we stuck to the actual divide instead and over the summit of the mountain – Knife Edge. Pretty spectacular 2 or 3 mile continuous ridge walk which I’m not sure was any wider than the “Knife Edge Ridge”?
