It’s been a while since I’ve posted a new desktop and I’m getting bored of looking at my last one. Who could resist the chance of having a voluptuous lady swimming across their screen all day? Well grab yourself the desktop here »

Oh I’ve missed your “weekly desktop” :)
I’m way ahead of you Chris. Basically the layer with the illustration on is set to ‘Multiply’ and underneath is a paper texture. You can download some paper textutes I made here:
http://www.made-in-england.org/background-paper-textures/
Also you can add some more texture to the illustration layer by dropping something into a layer mask, I’ve got more info on that technique here:

Cookie,
how the bleedin eck do you get that textured effect across your illos? what’s the technique? if you care to share.
Oh! I also treated one of my illustrations with your technique/style and it really seemed to give it life. It’s not up to par with your level but I hope you enjoy it as well. – Josh

Even more of a reason to sit/live in front of my computer. Really like this one. Don’t forget to let me know if/when David Gest’s blog is back up. Can’t wait to see it! – Josh
