This where we’re going, not sure how many hours of step kicking through the snow it was, but I almost puked when we reached the pass.

Second attempt on the first pass
Much better weather today, hopefully we’ll be able to see where we’re going this time!
More snow than we had expected
Not great visability either, plus the sound of avalanches thundering down all around us..
We got to a point called Angistock soon after this photo and decide to turn back, seeking a bit of local advice and beer from the nearby berggasthaus at Brusti.
Day 1 – Weather not so good..
Heading up to Surenenpass, the first pass of the holiday. The first few hundred meters of climbing were pretty easy because we took the cable car to Brusti :)
No knifes & forks, just meat
Swiss Alps here we come
Me & Nicky are off on holiday today, going to be walking across Switzerland, mainly follow the Bernese Oberland Range. Should be amazing, really need 2 weeks off in the mountains to unwind from a hectic project..
Sadly the weather forecast in rain, rain, thunderstorms, more rain and a bit of snow.. Oh well should make for a few interesting stories, I will keep the blog updated with our progress.

Exploding Cocktail
I‘m loving this, Wired how-to have taken the classic Mentos & Coke trick and made it into a prank cocktail which they’ve named – The Manhattan Project.
Basically the trick is the freeze the Mentos inside ice cubes so that it gives you enough time to mix a Manhattan, hand it to a friend and then retreat to a safe distance before it blows! Full instructions here »

The Beatles – Rockband
You’ve got to see this awesome cinematic teaser for the new Rockband game, Beatles edition. It’s starts off pretty good, nice 2D animation, well stylised. Then the boys parachute down, like the Lemmings, into a proper bonkers psychedelic wonderland, I loved it.
Directed by Pete Candeland of Passion Pictures, the guy who did the Gorillaz videos with Jamie Hewlett.
It’s a shame the actual game isn’t stylised the same..

Kitty’s got a brand new bag!
While I’m on the subject of Trunki’s, Rob sent me this amazing shot he managed to capture of a fricking real live tiger carring one in her mouth! Apparently this huge man eater really took a liking to Tipu the tiger Trunki, they had a right job getting it back off her.. Check out Trunki’s Flickr for more shots of tigers and monkeys.
