Lots of nice things going on over at SAUERKIDS, an artist duo based in Rotterdam. Love the Boggercar plush toy above, their paintings are amazing too, they’ve got a similar style to Brian Taylor (Candykiller).

Suicycle
Suicycle is a funny little animated short about what goes in comes out, the cycle of life and our impact of the planet, again and again and again. Made Curiosity for the 2007 DesignPolitics exhibition, looks like the handy work of their talented Art Director Alberto Cerriteno.

Foxy Scarf
Love these Fox Scarfs made of salvaged wool from LU FLUX. (Flash site so can’t deep link… Look under Wares > Accessories) Bit pricey at £120 though :(
Hello Minor T-Shirts
Hello Minor make some great t-shirts, what I loved the most was the enter site rollover graphic above, lovingly unexpected.
New Christmas Cheat Sheets
Eventually I’ve got round to finishing the girls version of the Christmas cheat sheet, I’ve also tweaked the boys version a little.
Download: Girls Christmas Cheat Sheet >
Download: Boys Christmas Cheat Sheet >
Print them out, fill one out with your clothing sizes and give it to your partner. Get your partner to fill out the other and give it back. Then head out shopping and have a merry Christmas.
Update: By popular request, the girls version now includes ring size!
Christmas Cheat Sheets
Client: Personal
Blokes (and girls!) should know their partners vitals stats… but we all need some help from time to time! I made these Christmas 2007 to try and take the guess work out of shopping for your better half. Print 2 out, fill one out with your sizes and give it to your partner. Get your partner to fill out the other and give it back. Then head out shopping!
You can download the pdf for girls here & and the pdf for boys here.
New Poke Site
PokeLondon has just been updated with a shiny new site, designed by my girl friend Nicky. Also big thanks to Mattias for building it, Dickon for compiling all the portfolio imagery and Iain for the copy and everyone else… I did the tiling background! Have a good look round, I think it’s looking great.
One feature I’d like to point out is the search, when I first discovered it I was blown away. Below you is an example of the contextual menu you get as you search:
But even better is when you click ‘Show All Results’, you come to this results page which has a beautiful lefty-righty scrolling projects menu and a vertical blog results window. I love it.
Cityscape at sunset
Client: Orange | Agency: Poke
This is a cityscape I drew for an Orange ad. I think it’s New York? Not sure, I based it on a photo I found on Flickr, but lost where I found the reference photo… I made this into a desktop, you can get it here.
Rocketman, I think this has taken a long long time…
Ky Michaelson, a.k.a. Rocketman likes making rocket powered things. The top image is a rocket propelled toilet! Check out this gallery of his creations, they really are a thing of beauty.
Weekly Desktop Part 29
A cityscape for this week’s desktop. It’s based on a photo I came across, think it’s a view of New York. Download it here.
